Wendy Cain works with the practices of Handmade Paper. Paper pulps that are beaten for extended periods of time become fluid and can be used in similar ways to more traditional painting techniques.
The difference with these works is that the materials and the image are fused, producing a very different surface from traditional painting. Wendy uses the local landscape and her garden as inspiration.
