Dear Friends of the Colebrook River –
We want by this e mail to make sure that everyone is aware of a public meeting to be held in the Yarker Fire Station June 25th between 6 – 8 p.m.
At this informal meeting, poster boards and people will be there to tell us about the work to be done on the dam this summer. This will be the best chance to get all of your questions answered – When will it start and finish? How low will the river have to be lowered? What happens if my well runs dry because of low water levels and any others that might come to your mind. IF you are unable to make the public meeting, you can contact Christine McClure, the Water Resources Technologist at Quinte Conservation Authority to ask your questions of her – 613 354-3312 x 130 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We too will send you a further e mail about this summer’s work once the public meeting has occurred.
While the will be some inconveniences this summer, it is great to know that with your support the long term future of the dam has been secured – a great heritage to pass on to the future generations of people, plants, fishes and wildlife.
